Don't Blame Trump

It should be understood that, were Trump to be held accountable for his crimes in a court of law, he would surely be acquitted on the basis of diminished capacity. Although mental health disorders are sometimes difficult or impossible to diagnose with 100% certainty, Trump’s malady can be stated with no real disagreement — he has Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD).

This is not some joke. He honestly cannot see that there may be any valid alternative to anything he says or does. He’s correct 100% of the time. He’s the smartest person in any room he happens to occupy. He aggrandizes himself with gold surroundings. Even his hair shouts “NPD” . His long, golden, wavy locks are not real and they’re not beautiful — they’re ridiculous, and EVERYONE can see this except him. He doesn’t get why he’s the butt of every joke worldwide. He’s ill. If you want to blame someone other than his silver-spoon upbringing, blame Norman Vincent Peale — the author of Trump’s favorite book The Power of Positive Thinking

Here’s the problem. NPD is not a crime. Nixon committed crimes and had to be pardoned by his successor to save him from an almost certainly successful impeachment. What might be the mechanism for removing a president whose crimes aren’t proven and whose incapacity is a debilitating neurosis? This problem was not foreseen by the Founding Fathers. They never considered it possible for the Village Idiot to win election as President.

One thing certain is that this is a major, worldwide catastrophe. He cannot be successfully obstructed — he must be removed. But how?
